"Take a hike"

Films: Prey for the Beast (2007)

Alias: None

Type: Unknown, possibly Natural

Location: Forest

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Deep in the woods, people warn of bears, wolves, mountain lions, and maybe the occasional sasquatch or two. But no one counted on the man/bear/lizard/wild boar/giant ground sloth thing...this has been a weird weekend, hasn't it?

History: No one really knows where this apex predator came from, or if it's even natural or not. All we know is that the lush Canadian forests are no place for any wayward weekenders looking for a good time. Because the beast is lurking, and when it finds you, you'd better pray that your friends have your back.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: One by one, the folks visiting the woods fall at the vicious claws of this monster. It's only when the remaining girls put a machete in between its eyes does it finally die. But as they leave, the monster, or at least another of its kind, is shown to still be inhabiting the forest.

Powers/Abilities: Apparently can cause dementia by wounding people.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-While its locomotion and more than a few shots leave a bit to be desired in the effects department, there's no doubt that this beast is pretty imposing. An unholy mishmash of powerful forest-dwellers, this giant overpowers all obstacles and makes bloody messes out of just about everyone.

Trivia: -The rather beautiful filming location was the Sasparilla Trail of Bells Corner, Ontario.

-Believe it or not, the forest beast actually bears an uncanny similarity to the legend of Old Yellow Top, a blonde bigfoot-like hominid last sighted in Ontario around the 70s. That said, no one really believes that Old Yellow Top was anywhere near as intimidating or savage as this movie's monster.

Drama queen. So what if you didn't get the high score on Candy Crush?
The last beat-up you want to be part of.

Eyes of a crazy buffaloo thing.

Typical forest gluttons. Worst than raccoons.

Welp, problem solved! Goodbye, mutated Alf!
